December 20, 1883 FIRE AT WALLINGFORD During the absence of Mr. Nathaniel Cook from his house yesterday, it took fire and burned to the ground. Mr. Cook lives some 2 miles from Wallingford Village and lived in the house alone. He had gone to the village to do a little training ??) and upon gus return found his house in ashes.
