Rutland Herald Jan. 7, 1915, page 7 Charles Myron Sherman, known Horseman, Dies At Home in Clarendon at age 81. Charles Myron Sherman, well known as a horseman, died at his home on the Creek Road early Monday morning after a long illness. He ws 81 years old and through his former ownership at Barn Dewey , with Colonel Egbert and General Sherman, had a reputation among breeders of racing horses. Mr. Sherman had lived in Clarendon for 50 years, coming there from Danby. He was one of the oldest members of the Rutland Agricultural Soc. Mr. Sherman is survived by his wife, a daughter Mrs. D. W. Cutting of Clarendon and two grandchildren.
