Mrs. Herbert Pratt and little daughter, Elsie Pratt, are spending the week with her daughter, Mrs. George Stoddard, in Pawlet. D. S. Carpenter made a business trip to Rutland on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. George W. Phillips have received a letter from their son, Ellis Phillips, limited service man, who went overseas in October, on his safe arrival in Camp Upton. This is the only letter received from him since his departure for France, October 5. Although he stated in this letter that he had written several times, none had been received.
