Springfield, Dec. 21--Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Davis Funeral Home, for Franklin Stephen Williams, 85, of Springfield, who died on Monday following a long period of failing health. Mr. Williams was born in Hubbardton May 24, 1853, the son of Orin and Lucy Jane (Hale) Williams. He married at Rutland, November 17, 1873, Margaret Annie (Candlish) Williams of Montreal, who died several years ago. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mahala Dyer of Springfield, and four sons, B. F. Williams of Detroit, Ernest O. Williams of National City, Cal., Charles N. Williams and Robert E. Williams of Springfield, and five grandson, Franklin H. Williams of Detroit, Robert Dyer of Woodstock, Wendall, Harold and Robert W. Williams of Springfield. Rev.Augustine Jones of the First Congregational church will officiate,with burial in the Summer Hill cemetery. Transcribed by, Joan H. Bixby
