That is what Grandpa Pat always told him. I have a friend who sent me the 1930 census page for Vermont and it says he told them he was born in New York. I found his listing in the 1880 census and it also lists his bp as NY. My Father says that his birth certificate had to be handed over when he came over from Ireland and they issued a new one. I know nothing about the immigration process, and with the facts I am holding in my hand, I don't quite believe this statement. Could someone answer my very innane question. I am kinda scared to bust my Fathers bubble about this but feel that I might need to get more of my questions answered. Thank all of you very much.
