    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Dube, Simon Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/0AC.2ACI/2217.1 Message Board Post: The only thing I have that really matches is Henry Dube whose father died at a young age and Henry's mother, Olive married a Simon. But the thing that stumped me is that Henry's family - (Henry born in Canada) moved to Vermont and then ended up in No. Adams Mass!! Just where your grandparents ended up. Just wonder if somewhere in the earlier generations we would match up??

    2. David Larson
    3. Thanks, Peter -- I have a lead for now, but if things don't work out, I'll get back to you in a couple weeks. I'm well aware David's work -- I've got most of it hosted at my genealogy website. He has a lot of great information there, but I'm only starting to gather some of the sources he used (I'm putting together a note to him next). He was not able to make many copies/scans back when he did his original research. The Morgan line that my wife is part of gets a little thin for a couple generations, and I'm trying to flesh it out. I haven't got much on Mary Doran, but I believe you're right. I'm not sure that many of "her" Doran's came over to Rutland County -- she was from Co. Cork. David -----Original Message----- From: TYRTIPP@aol.com <TYRTIPP@aol.com> To: VTRUTLAN-L@rootsweb.com Subject: re: Pinders Morgan David, The 1878 -82 deaths would be poor candidates for obits. The post 1900 ones would be more likely but perhaps of a limited nature. I am pretty straight out for the next couple of weeks. Perhaps someone else could get on it sooner. Just double checking: you are familiar with David Christianson's Pinders Morgan work? Trivia: I think I once came across some info that the Mary Doran Pinders was not of the large well known Doran family from West Castleton out of the north of Ireland but of another smaller family from the south of Ireland. (Perhaps this was in the Christianson material) Regards, Peter Patten

    1. obituary requests
    2. David Larson
    3. First, Karima, thanks for the 1881-1882 Benson business directory -- Edwin Pender (Edmund Pinders) is an ancestor of my wife and his farm was listed there. My request is if anyone has access to obituaries for the following deaths: - Catherine Pinders Morgan, October 6, 1926, Fair Haven - James Morgan, April 20, 1903, Hydeville (Fair Haven Era) - Edmund Pinders, Dec. 9, 1882, Benson - Mary Doran Pinders, Dec. 16, 1891 - Patrick Sloan, November 21, 1907, Hubbardton - Mary Morgan & Francis Morgan, 1878 (diptheria), West Castleton I know there are obituaries for the first two; the rest I am not sure of. I've just heard references and do not know what the content is. I'd love to have a copy or scan of the obituaries, but just the text and the source location (paper, date, page/column) would be very welcome. I am hoping that there will be some more clues in these obituaries to help find the trail of some of their wayward descendents. Thanks very much in advance. All of the great information posted here winds up being very helpful. David Larson St. Charles, MO http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~larsonmorgan/Morgan

John and Sarah had a son John Hart b: 8 Jan 1845 OH. I don't know if Hiram died or they were divorced. Then Sarah had a son Isaac Sells...no record if she married Isaac's father. Then Sarah married a John Fisher and had about 10 more children. A couple of years after Mr. Fisher died, Sarah married again to a George Weninger....she was then 82 years old...seems incredible but it's true...announcement published in St. Joseph Co., Indiana.
