    2. Source,Rutland Vt.Daily Herald--Thur.Oct. 18, 1917. PROCTOR, Vt. Miss Sadie Donnelly left Wednesday for a two weeks' visit with relatives in Boston. A piano recital was given Wednesday evening at the home of Miss Bardi by Earnestine Bardi, a pupil of Miss Florence Mead. Theodore Mayo of Stowe arrived here Wednesday for a short visit with Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Fairbanks before going to Schenectady, N.Y., to take an engineering course at Union college. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Townsend and son, Frank, who have been spending several weeks with relatives in Oak Park, Ill., and Greenwich, N.Y., returned home Wednesday. L. A. Veazey (sic) who has been in Putney on account of the death of a relative, returned Wednesday. A daughter was born recently to Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hatch of Milwaukee, Wis. Mr. and Mrs. Hatch were formerly residents here for several years. A daughter was born Monday to Mr. and Mrs. S. Listroan at the hospital. Miss Marion Smith, who has been visiting relatives here and in the vicinity for several weeks, returned Tuesday to Bristol. William H. Howe, assistant postmaster, who has been on a vacation of 15 days, resumed work at the post office Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Heman Wandigo (sic) are spending today in Ludlow. Mrs. V. D. Orr of Boston is visiting her son, Elmer Orr, and wife. Miss Ella Laverty has returned to Cambridge, Mass., after visiting Mrs. Margaret Riley and other friends in town. Harriett Dawson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dawson has entered the normal school at Castleton. Mr. and Mrs. Heman Mandigo spent Thursday in Ludlow.

Alfred Kline, pastor of the United church in West Rutland, will have charge of the services at the Baptist church Sunday at 1 o'clock. Miss Veronica Farrell, who spent the winter in Florida, has returned to the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Farrell. Mrs. Clayton Fish has gone to Buffalo, N.Y., to visit his sister, Mrs. Edgar Seaward.

The score was 11-0 in favor of Pawlet. Mrs. Libbie Bromley entertained at bridge Friday afternoon.. Mr. and Mrs. V. F. Young and children and Mrs. Jennie Young visited relatives in Weston Tuesday. Carl Robinson, who purchased the house formerly owned by W. B. Monroe, is having the house renovated and a new piazza built.

Horton of Boston is spending two weeks with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Horton. Miss Marion Ripley has gone to Oneonta, N.Y., where she is a guest of Rev. and Mrs. L. C. Denney. Mrs. Warren H. Burns Martin and sister, Catherine, mother and aunt, Mrs. Catherine Welsh, visited at D. C. Naramore's Monday. Master Vincent Naramore is spending sometime with his grandmother in Benson. Henry Goodrich and A. L. Bird have returned from Hudson Falls where they have been spending a few days at Mr. Goodrich's home. Mrs. Vernon McCullough spent the week-end at her father's home in Sudbury. Eldon Bird returned Monday from a week-end trip to Montreal. Mrs. Marjorie Goodwin has received word of the bird of a daughter, Norma Marilyn, to Mr. and Mrs. Carl Walker in Athol, Mass. Mrs. Walker is Mrs. Goodwin's sister. Mrs. S. Brook and infant son have returned from Rutland hospital.

    3. Hello, All! We are doing some more research on the FOSTER family connection to Lucinda (unknown) PARKER FOSTER. Lucinda married Washington Parker, sometime before 1840. Does anyone have Lucinda's maiden name? They are both living in the Ira, Rutland County in the 1860 Census, with three of their children: Lucy, Henry and Calvin. He was a tensmith before this.He Frederick Reed was in the Civil War, I have his medal. He was burried in the Fair View Cemetary in Benson VT. I don't think his wife Sarah was a Dorsey as I was told.
