Has anyone sorted out the Parish/Parrish and Blodgett families that lived in Randolph Twp, Orange Co, VT around 1800? I am looking for the parents of William Parrish and Hannah Blodgett who were married in Randolph in 1799, at which time there were several families of each name in Randolph. >From information in "New England Parish Families" by Roswell Parish, Randolph Vital Stats, and some Ancestral File sources, most of the Parish families appear to be descendents of Zebulon Parrish and Hannah Kimball of Windham, CT, including their son, Jacob mar. Mehitable Flint, who lived in Randolph and another son, Isaac mar. Mary Clark, who may not have lived in Randolph but had several children who did. Census indices from 1800 also show a William Parrish in Randolph with too many family members for someone recently married. On the Blodgett side most of the families present appear to be James Blodgett and Theodia Walbridge, and their married children. However, other evidence indicates that Hannah Blodgett is the daughter of Caleb Blodgett and Charity Walbridge, probably originally from the Stafford, Tolland, CT, area before moving to Randolph. So if anyone has already done the legwork and sorted out these families, any information, sources or research suggestions would be appreciated. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Brent Long ([email protected])
