Hi Beth, I am not familiar with the History of Orange County you mentioned. The town of Vershire and Corinth are two distinct towns in Vermont, so each would have its own records. The state of Vermont did not require vital records be kept until 1857. Prior to that there are marriages in the town records, but list only the parties married and the towns they were from and the minister. Also in the town records there are lists of families and their birth dates, but they were not necessarily born in town. Hope this helps some. Janice
