It is in a pasture and is not fenced. Many of the stones are down or are leaning badly. Apparently it receives no care whatever. Surnames include: Burnham; Clark; Cushman; Dewey; Fuller; Graves; Mack; Potter and Stevens. · EAST MINERAL ROAD CEMETERY - Montague, Mass.: Pages 3 - 9; This cemetery is located on East Mineral Road about 400 east of the main highway (State Route 2A) between Turners Falls and Millers Falls. It was probably privately owned and is now in rather poor condition with one or two exceptions there have been no burials in it for many years. Surnames include: Ball; Billings; Briggs; Britt; Brown; Caswell; Creagh; Dexter; Durkee; Drury; Fairbrother; Goodard; Gunn; Hoye; Newell; Pratt; Stevens; Stowell; Terry; Upham; Webster; White. · OLD SOUTH CEMETERY - Montague, Mass.: Pages 10 - 40; This cemetery is about one-half mile south of the Village of Montague Center and about one-quarter mile west of State Highway No. 63. It is the oldest cemetery in the town and contains the graves of many of the earliest settlers. It is keep in fairly good condition by the Town. Several of the lots are endowed with perpetual care funds. The layout is very irregular, and it is practically impossible to tell where the lot lines (if there were such) were located. The plantation of Colrain, Mass., was incorporated as a town in 1761, being then in Hamsphire County. In 1811, with twenty-three other towns, it was set off from Hampshire County to form Franklin County. The records were copied in 1888 from the town records by William O. Taylor of Shelburne, Mass., and were presented by him to the New England Historic Genealogical Society in 1896. · Marriage Intentions at Buckland, Mass. 1793 - 1820. Published in the New England Historical & Genealogical Register, Volume 75, pp. 302 - 308, 1921. Boston, Mass. The entries have been abridged from the original record of intentions of marriage kept by the town clerk of Buckland, Mass., from 11 [?] August [1793] to 11 January 1820, inclusive.
