The Message Read: Hello Vermont! I have aquestion that has been driving my daughter and I crazy! In or around 1775 a relative, James Ayer was hung in the manner of a dog. Please I would like to know, as It explained the manner the dog was hung, Why would some one hang a dog? This was an extremly cruel Death. What did the dog do to deserve this hanging. This hanging was done in Vermont. Thanks and I hope some of you Historians can help me out. The expression is probably "hanged like a dog." :>)
