No relation that I know of. Our Dewey's were farther west by the 1860's and actually were in Canada for a while. They originated from MA and migrated to Quebec Canada before returning to Washington Co., NY. My Arnold and Annis lines were both in VT (Rutland and Orange counties respectively). -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, September 14, 1999 7:56 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [VTORANGE] Annis Hill In a message dated 09/13/1999 9:37:26 PM Central Daylight Time, [email protected] writes: << /DEWEY >> Hi Todd,,, Do you happen to have any Dewey ancestors living in Northfield, Washington Co. in 1860? I have a Lyons ancestor living with a Dewey family in Northfield in the 1860 census. They were as far as what I can decipher: Erastus C. Dewey 52 Farm Laborer b:NH Eunice 54 b:VT Emma L. Williams 3 b:VT Have no idea who this family is or if there was any relationship to my Joseph Lyons age 16. Possibly he was just working for them or boarding with them. Thought I would ask...
