Judy, How to search the Mailing List Archive area. 1) Go to the following web address http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl 2) bookmark it at this point 3) Place the name of the mailing list in area named "Name of List": This is what you will want for searching the Orange Co., VT Mailing List: VTORANGE-L 4) Click "Submit Query" You will now be at a new webpage entitled, "Search the Archive of Messages for VTORANGE Mailing List" 5) Place the surname in the "Query" box 4) Click the circle to indicate the appropriate year that you want to search. 5) Click the 'Search' buttton. 6) Once at the results page, there will be a list of 'hits'. The higher the score, the closer the 'hit'. I always click on the "full"... as I want to view the entire posting. Hope this helps.
