Ref: R. & L. 1812, AGO Page 21; Book 52, AGO Pages 69 and 77." "JOHN KING of Shoreham, Addison County, Vermont Served from April 12 to May 20, 1814 in company of Capt. James Gray, Jr., Sumner's Regt. Volunteered to go to Plattsburg [NY], September 1814, and served 6 days in Capt. Samuel Hand's Company. Ref: Rev. J.F. Goodhue's History of Shoreham. Page 107."
