Janet: Just wondering if you had seen a copy of teh Avery Genealogy Avery, Elroy McKendree, [View Citation <http://www.heritagequestonline.com/prod/genealogy/fullcitation?docID=Genealogy-glh07698775>] [Table of Contents <http://www.heritagequestonline.com/prod/genealogy/fullcitation?docID=Genealogy-glh07698775#toc>] The Groton Avery clan Cleveland: unknown, 1912, 1529 pgs. There is a section on your Christopher Avery and Sally Jones. Unfortunately, it does not provide the parents of Sally, but it does mention that they were married in Meriden, Connecticut, which should narrow down your search for Sally's parents. If you would like the transcription of this section, let me know. I note Christopher was a very, um, fertile person, having had 11 children with Sally and another 8 children with his second wife Sophia Lund. Also, Christopher is sixth generation descendant of the original settler Christopher Avery of Groton, CT.
