fyi My first cousin Myron F. Chapman RANDOLPH - Myron F. "Chappy" Chapman, 75, died Feb. 8, 2003, at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph. He was born Oct. 29, 1927, in Addison, the son of George and Almira (Chase) Chapman. He attended Randolph Center schools. Following school he worked on the family farm. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. On Jan. 8, 1955, he married Beverly Martin in Barre. Mr. Chapman was a self-employed truck driver, delivering milk. He also was a logger, worked in construction and managed the Randolph Landfill for several years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Elks Club and the Barre Fish and Game Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycling, sporting events and hiking. Survivors include his wife of Randolph; two daughters, Annette Chapman of East Montpelier and Jan Reis of Randolph; a sister, Mary Allie of White City, Ore.; a half-brother, Steve Garrow of Vershire, and three granddaughters. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Day Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center at a later date. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
