Thanks, Jan, for looking in the State of Vermont Roster of Soldiers in the War of 1812-1814. Could you (or anyone else) please tell me if this roster is of the soldiers that fought at the national level, or does it include state troops? In the History of Newbury VT book, it states Edward A. Rollins served in the War of 1812. I have checked with the NARA, and they do not have any record of him serving from Vermont or the surrounding states. Could someone please tell me where to write for state records for service in that war? Could there be records in the town of Newbury? Thank you!
