Hi Jan, I have been on a long search for the parents of Sally Jones. Sally was born 20 Jan. 1776 in Meriden, CT? MA? She married Christopher Avery (bn 15 Oct 1773) on 15 Dec. 1794 (in Meriden???) and the moved to Corinth, VT (Orange County). Perhaps others of her family moved to Orange County?? Could any of the JONES'es you list be brothers to her (soldiers of 1812 might be in their 30s? about the age of Sally Jones Avery??) Just a thought . . .
