Hi-- I am searching for anyone who is a descendant of Deacon James Mills who resided in Lunenburg, Essex, VT sometime after 1790. His wife's maiden was Seamons (no record of her first name) and they had five children: Laura, James Harvey, Charles S., Jonas & William Mills. James Harvey Mills apprenticed in the merchentile business for an uncle in Maine. In 1827 he married Naomi Webster and in 1854 they pioneered to Minnesota where they are both buried. Three generations of the Mills clan picked up and left Minnesota in 1907 after their flour and lumber mills burned down during a drought year. They homesteaded in Fallon Nevada where many Mills now reside. We are interested in learning more about our New England roots and would love to connect with anyone who might be related to James Harvey Mills. Would also like to know if anyone has information on Deacon James Mills and his wife (?) Seamons. If interested, contact my husband & I at this e-mail address. Thanks! Charli & Todd Mills
