Marguerite, The first Judd in my lineage that moved to Orange County was Frank Henry Judd, from Holland, Vermont. He moved to Orange County (Bradford) around 1922. He was married to Maude Nancy Grow, of Mansonville, Quebec. Their son, Robert Wilbur Judd, is my grandfather. Robert's daughter, Carolyn Louise Judd (White) is my mother. There is a connection between Frank Henry Judd and a Brown family. Two of Frank Henry Judd's brothers were married to a Brown. My records (and my Grandfather's recollections) show that Lillian Susan Brown was married to Frank's brother, Ernest Homer Judd. She divorced either him or his brother, because my records show her as also married to Ernest's (and Frank's) brother George E. Judd. Lillian Brown's family was also from Mansonville (Potton), Quebec. Her parents were Titus A. Brown and Adeline E. Grow. Do you recognize any of these names? Let me know if I can be of any further assistance. No, not that I know of yet. The only child that I know about is George Webster. I don't know about any siblings. I am a Hadley researcher, trying to find ancestors of Samuel Hadley who lived in Craftsbury VT in 1812 with his wife Ally (Olly) Drew when his son Lyman was born. I wonder if anyone here could tell me the history of Mount Hadley. (Or tell me where to find out). Thanks, Betty Hadley White

Hi Charlene, Remember me. I gave you a bunch of stuff from the manuscript of Betty Post on the Early Mills of Vermont. I'm a direct descendant of Nathaniel Mills and Catherine who last name is PRATT. Yes, Nathaniel is son to a John Mills. If you write me at home, I can share more pages of Betty's. I am descended from Deacon Thomas thru Philip, whose wife moved to Strafford, Orange co VT after the Rev. with others from Conn. She had married for the 3rd time to Rev. Nathaniel Brown. Liberty, their son, then moved to Genesee co NY. That is my line. I have Liberty's family, and most are in the 2 or 3 JUDD books. However, each book seems to lose MY line. The last one told me my Wilson JUDD who married Mary BEAN, and his sister Jerusha, who married the Beaden, moved to Ohio, but was lost sight of. I do have that and have quite a bit on both of those couples. Liberty made a trip to Ohio, Ind, Ill and Wisc to see all of his kids when he was in his 80's or so, according to the books. The problem with the books is they give dates etc but no citations. I have discovered however that a number of people from Thetford and Vershire also went to western Ohio, and these families are intermarried with the Beaden/Jerusha JUDD line. Be glad to share anything I have. Let me know your line. I believe all of the JUDD lines in Vermont are from the same group. Addie Rose married more than Albert Johnson according to the information I have on her that I just found. She also married Truman Bowles and Walter L.
