Cheri, I have a 4th gt grandfather, David Rollins. born 1781 in Newbury,VT. He had brothers - Jonathan, Stephen, James, and was son of Stephen Rollins (bn 1741) and Susanna ______, who was born July 25, 1745. I have them originally in Portsmouth but then moved to Newbury. David md Louisa Ring and their children were Laban Clark, Ebenezer, Adeline, Mary, Dorothy, David, and Sceva. They ended up in Corinth, but Newbury is mentioned. I don't find Edward or Justin, but I suspect they were connected. Janet
Hello Phyllis, I am trying to find any information on my Smith family. They moved from Woodstock, Ct. to Williamstown, Vt. and spread out to other places in Vermont. Is there an index in the book of a list of Smiths that could be copied perhaps? Please let me know. Sincerely Diane in Austin, Tx.
Janet, My 3rd great grandfather, Justin L. Rollins, was from Newbury, Orange County. His father was Edward Rollins. Do you know if they are any relation to your Rollins? Cheri
Phyllis, I would appreciate receiving any information you might find in the Gazeteer of Orange County on the Bagley family. My gg grandfather is Russia Bagley, b February 4, 1794 in Brookfield, Orange County. I believe his parents were Samuel Bagley, Jr and Hannah Humphrey, but some researchers believe his father may have been Abijah Bagley. Any information would be welcome, and there is no rush. I would very much appreciate a lookup for Crain/Crane, and for Blanchard, when you have time. No hurry! Dear Phyllis, I may have been in touch with you at an earlier time. I am interested in knowing if there is any information in the Gazateer of Orange County book about Albert Woodworth, who died in 1864 in the Battle at Cedar Creek, or either of his daughters, Frances M. Woodworth who lived in Bradford and died there in 1936 at age 92..she was a secretary for a Mr. Hood I believe. Her sister, Susan Mabel (or Mabel Susan) Woodworth married in Iowa in 1882..I wondered if there was any mention of her in the Gazateer as her only family, Frances, lived in Bradford in 1882. Thank you very much for any help you may give me. Pauline Madera, CA
Phyllis. I am interested in a family that settled in Strafford, VT (Orange Co). Elijah Beeman/Beaman/or Bemon (possibly) married a Patience Hatch in 1770. They both died there, Patience in 1830 and Elijah in 1833. Would appreciate if this family is mentioned, particularly if there was a son named Solomon. Thanks for any help. Marge
Does this book have genealogical information? I am interested in anything about any HADLEY family who lived in Orange County (Samuel Hadley living in Barnet,1790 or Samuel Hadley living in Newbury, 1790) Thanks in advance Betty Hadley White ----- Original Message ----- From: "Phyllis N Hawley" <phawley@sover.net> To: <VTORANGE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, June 26, 2003 11:49 AM Subject: Re: [VTORA] History of Orange County > There is a book, now out-of-print, entitled "Gazateer of Orange County, > Vermont, 1762 - 1888", compiled and published by Hamilton Child.. > > To the best of my knowledge it is not on the internet. > > I have a copy and could do look-ups for anyone interested. > > Phyllis > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "remarksk" <kskramer@wcoil.com> > To: <VTORANGE-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Thursday, June 26, 2003 10:41 AM > Subject: Re: [VTORA] History of Orange County > > > > I would be interested in an answer to Art's question. > > Hope the answer will be posted to the list. > > Thanks > > Sue > > > > Art asked: > > > > > Is there a History of Orange County published on the Internet, > > specifically > > > Randolph township?
