Charles G. Burridge b. 1827 and Susan Sargent Neff b. 1831 are both buried in the Burridge family plot on Thayer Brook Rd. in Braintree, near the family homestead. I have their birth/death dates from their headstones, their marriage date from other sources, including Bass' History of Braintree. Unfortunately, the town clerk of Braintree doesn't have a birth or marriage recorded for Charles G. Burridge. I need a primary source for their marriage - any ideas where else I could look? (I'm in VA) Thanks, Deidre

Constance, I have Avery ancestors from Orange County - they were in Stonington before going to VT, so there's probably a link someplace, with a name like Avery Denison. (And I'm trying to find ancestors of Sally Jones - she married Christopher Avery who was born in New London, CT, and they ended up in Orange County. She was born 1776 in Meriden.) You can contact me directly at Jkeysser@aol.com Janet K. Golden Valley, MN
Dear Orange County Listers: I'm new to the list today and wanted to touch base to see if any of you were working on the William Denison Family that lived there in the late colonial period. William Denison was born in N. Stonington, New London Co., CT in 1737, the son of Avery Denison and his wife Thankful Williams. He may have died there in Strafford, VT on 3 May 1799, if the entry in The History of Stonington, CT by Richard Anson Wheeler is correct. His wife Susannah Swan Denison was born in 1744 and died ca 1809 in Strafford. She is in the 1800 census as HH, but not in 1810. My GGGGrandmother, their daughter, Betsey Denison Hurlburt/Hurlbutt, had 2 children in Strafford, traveling from Hanover, NH for the births. Does any of this ring a bell with any of you? If this is a hackneyed questioned that you've all seen a thousand times, please forgive me. I have mostly done my research in person and only lately have discovered the joys of networking with these lists. Constance Frazier Flagg Spring, KY
