    1. [VTORANGE-L] Whitney/Boardman Marriage
    2. Hi All.... I am trying to find a marriage record of Henry Boardman of Northfield, and Audrey Whitney from Brookfield. This marriage probably took place about 1910/11, but I don't know where. This couple and three of their children drowned in 1929 at Randolph, VT. I am trying to find this record for one of their surviving children, an 80 year old lady that lives in Chelsea, VT. She has tried to find the record, but all she has been able to find is a marriage record on her fathers first marriage in 1904 to an Alice Austin. She is really wanting to find this record,,,,if anyone can help would so very much appreciate it. Thank you,,,, Barbara Boardman [email protected]

    3. Hi..some of you may recognize my name, Barbara Lewis, and the name of my cousin, Linda Hackney, who have been searching desperately for the birth of SAMUEL SHERBURNE, who was born 13 Sep 1800 in Vermont. He was married in 1826 in Caledonia Co, VT, but we don't know where he was born. I have searched many many many VT town records, looking for his birth, to find the names of his parents. We know he is connected to the Sherburnes who came out of Portsmouth, NH. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. -- Barbara Lewis [email protected] Dunbartonshire County, Scotland GenWeb Host http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Valley/4423/index.html Wigtownshire County, Scotland GenWeb Host http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Valley/4423/wigtown.html

    1. Parrish and Blodgett families of Randolph, Orange, VT
    2. Brent Long
    3. Has anyone sorted out the Parish/Parrish and Blodgett families that lived in Randolph Twp, Orange Co, VT around 1800? I am looking for the parents of William Parrish and Hannah Blodgett who were married in Randolph in 1799, at which time there were several families of each name in Randolph. >From information in "New England Parish Families" by Roswell Parish, Randolph Vital Stats, and some Ancestral File sources, most of the Parish families appear to be descendents of Zebulon Parrish and Hannah Kimball of Windham, CT, including their son, Jacob mar. Mehitable Flint, who lived in Randolph and another son, Isaac mar. Mary Clark, who may not have lived in Randolph but had several children who did. Census indices from 1800 also show a William Parrish in Randolph with too many family members for someone recently married. On the Blodgett side most of the families present appear to be James Blodgett and Theodia Walbridge, and their married children. However, other evidence indicates that Hannah Blodgett is the daughter of Caleb Blodgett and Charity Walbridge, probably originally from the Stafford, Tolland, CT, area before moving to Randolph. So if anyone has already done the legwork and sorted out these families, any information, sources or research suggestions would be appreciated. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Brent Long ([email protected])

    3. I am new to the list and genealogy, so am hoping for some help and advice. I have recently been sent information from my mother done by her cousin and I am having trouble deciphering her way of writing it out. So here goes. My gg-grandfather is Charles Henry Gay b May 29 1837 in Cleveland Ohio d 6-15-1915 m 2nd wife Alice Theresa Sutcliffe 12-26-1874 My ggg-grandfather, was Joseph Gay b 9-4-1805 in Randolph, Orange County, Vermont m Eunice Story 1849 My gggg-grandfather was Rufus Gay. This is where I am really confused. Her papers seem to be saying that Calvin Gay & Naomi had a Rufus born in 1769 and then another Rufus born in 1776/1777. Then she goes on to say that Rufus Gay Jr. born 1776/1777 is the son of Rufus Gay Sr. b 1769. This would make Rufus Sr. less than 10 at time of his sons birth but that does not explain the fact they both have the same parents. I am trying to figure if it is one Rufus between Joseph Gay and Calvin Gay or two. Calvin Gay was married to a Naomi Frizzle. If there is anyone who knows about this family I would be most thankful for any help or leads in the right direction. Wendy Weisinger [email protected]
