    3. Please be careful if using the Genealogical section of The History of Corinth, VT. It has some errors that have been freely copied by other books. I spent several years tracing the lines as given, and found proof of some items being accurate, and proof of some items being incorrect. This is true of most town histories. Amy Simpson

    3. I am searching for information on Edwin NEWTON and Sarah J. FARNHAM who were married in Topsham, VT on 22 Apr 1856. They are listed in the 1860 census and Edwin is recorded in 1862 as enlisting from West Topsham in the Civil War. I have no other information until I find Edwin unmarried in New Hampshire in 1873. If anyone has information on what happened to Sarah and if they had children, I would appreciate the help. Thank you.

    1. [VTORANGE] Aretus Belding/Belden
    2. I have just joined this list and I hope someone can help me. Aretus Belding was born in Whately MA 14 Dec 1795 and baptized 29 November 1796. I have just been sent a copy of a letter written several years ago stating that the births of Aretus and his siblings were not recorded until they moved to Tunbridge, Orange County, Vermont. Parents David Belding and Content Farnum. Children were David, Heman, Elisha , Dennis and Sally. Sally was born Dec 1902. Perhaps when Sally was born was when they registered all the births. If someone would look this up for me I would really appreciate it. Helen
