Source, Vermont Daily Transcript-- Sept. 9, 1868. Page 3. DEATH OF MR. WEBSTER--Under our obituary head today, will be noticed the death of Mr. Samuel Webster of Fairfax. Mr. Webster will be remembered as the man who had his house broken open by burglars, and was knocked senseless by them about midnight sometime during the month of July last. The injuries which he received at that time, it is thought, were instrumental in hastening his death.
