They covered Franklin County. I know that the old papers were on microfiche as I got copies of a 1855 Fletcher murder some years ago. The person I got the copy from is deceased so not sure where she got it. She used to have a camp in the Fletcher area so think she got them from local libraries. The St Albans messenger has an on line archive from 1861-2006 http://www.samessenger.com/archive_historical I also have a lot of data on Fairfield families. Wanda.. and all who might help! Do you have anything on the Josiah Briggs/ Jedediah Osborn/ Samuel & Joseph Webster families of Fairfield? Josiah & Eunice Briggs are buried at Fairfield. Their son Amyntus married Jedediah & Jane Osborn's daughter Mary and two of their daughters,Anna and Hannah, married the above mentioned Webster men. Anna is buried in Fairfield. Hannah and her crew removed to Wisconsin. Amyntus Briggs, wife Mary and her parents all went to Oneida county NY. Amyntus removed to Sauk Co. Wisconsin also. This family still has a lot of missing members. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
