Beyond the picnic area was a path into the woods (looking at Google maps it appears that this are may be part of the Avery's Gore Wildlife Management Area), and a little ways up the path were three stone buildings. I have pictures of myself and my family wandering around the property that the buildings were on. This was an annual tradition for us until one year a group of people had moved into the buildings and threatened us with a rifle not to come onto the property again, and that was the last time I was up there. I am sure I can spot the buildings on Google Map's satellite view, so I believe they are still up there. I am wondering if anyone has any information about the buildings. Who built them and when? Were they homes? Are they accessible these days (I would love to hike back in there, but the image of the men with rifles is still very much ! ingrained in my head lol). Thanks in advance.
