Lived in Montreal from at least we believe he moved to upstate New York later but I can't find the info right now. This is my ancestor. Your Jabez would have been a great uncle, a child of Joshua II. So, a branch of this family took off for VT in the mid 1700's. Mine lived in Shoreham til at least 1800, then St. Albans, Vt, then by 1809 were in Montreal. Jabez seemed to haved stayed in VT then gone to NY. Joshua IV was a trader along with sons - perhaps the family kept in contact and did business?
