If you are seeking the specific marriage record I'm not aware of any sure way to get someone to search and copy it remotely for you. The VT records only go back to about 1855 with a very few before that. I've used death records and birth records after 1855 in VT to infer probable marriages that have ocurred in Canada. Many of the Quebec church records were copied/transferred to the Catholic archives in Manchester NH. (I know one of the marriages I'm interested in is with them.) However, I only found out about that source recently and have not had a chance to locate their actual address, even though I'm only 10 miles from Manchester! I doubt that they would do searches for you unless you know which church the marriage was in. (I see you are out in Wisconsin so its not very practical for you to visit them.) Maybe someone else has an idea. > -----Original Message----- > From: Audrey Growt [mailto:agrowt@execpc.com] > Sent: Saturday, December 04, 1999 10:23 AM > To: VTFRANKL-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: MARRIAGE RECORD > > > HI, > I have been looking for a marriage record for Canadian gr gr parents
