Hi everyone, I have some info on some of my ancesters and I'm not sure how to proceed. I am looking for Info on a John McClurewho probably was born in Swanton but after he went off to the civil war to fight he came back and settled in Highgate Vermont. From local legend it is said that John was quite rich and at one time he owned the whole village of Highgate springs Vermont. Would any kind soul have any suggestions what I may do with this info that I may learn more about this John McClure and his family since right now I know nothing. I would take any hints.
