    1. [VTFRANKL] St. Albans Murphys
    2. Noel Smith
    3. Hi Frank, The folks at City Hall are really helpful in locating St. Albans records if the names and dates are right. Since Murphy doesn't sound like a French name, I assume they would have spelled it "Murphy." I had trouble initially searching for Rogers, since the family was really Royer/Rodier in French... I found records in those names, with dates, at St. Mary's church and Holy Angels church though and went from there. If your Murphy's had 6 children in St. Albans, you may find their baptism records in one of those churches as a starter. And in 1868, their marriage record (assuming they were married in Catholic Church) would have been at St. Mary's, since Holy Angels was built I think in 1873. I haven't started looking for railroad records yet, but I am on the Quebec and St-Hyacinthe lists. Good luck to you.
