Researching Jonathan STILES, my husband's 4th g-grandfather. Jonathan STILES b. May 30, 1773, Hollis, NH He married (date and place unknown) Lucy BUNNELL. He lived in South Hero in 1800 and 1816, but is not listed on South Hero census in 1820. They had at least these children (recorded in South Hero, VT) Mary STILES b. 1795, July x Albert STILES b. 1797, Oct 2 Stephen STILES b. 1800, Feb, 10 Sally STILES b. 1803, June 10 Lucy STILES b. 1805, Oct 2 Charlotte STILES b. 1808, Feb 10 Erasmus STILES b. 1810, May 9 Anna STILES b. 1815, Jan 12 There is a 60-70 year old Jonathan STILES in St. Albans - 1840 census. The 1850 census lists Jonathan STYLES (age 77), his wife Lucy (age 75) and a Lucy MCCLURE ( age 44) in Georgia, VT. Where did Jonathan live in between? Why did he move so often? What job did he have?
