Jerry, Thanks for the response. Celestin is probably the key person here. His baptism record showed up in the American-French Genealogy Society journal (Je Me Souviens) this year. No other record of Celestin has shown up. The 1850 Vermont census shows a Silas in the household of Peter Laheu. No other record of Silas has shown up. And then, Lester shows up in the 1860 Vermont census. None of the ages for the three people match up quite right but it is probable that all three people are the same person. It is just hard to find absolute proof in a situation where absolute proof probably doesn't exist. I've been working with Andree Routledge (and others) on the Lahue families of Vermont and it is definite that the Lahues are part of the Lague family. Thanks again. Jim Lahue
