Hi David, Thanks for your info re Early birth records in Vermont. I just sent for an LDS film for Swanton, VT Vital Records for years 1790 - 1823. So, hopefully, I will get what I am looking for. But I have a question. I thought Vermont State records are kept in Montpelier. I have a Canadian church marriage record from 1859 which says: "original record of civil marriage ceremony - 1849 - is on file in Montpelier, Vermont." (The couple were remarried in a church in 1859.) HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL! Mimi Rhodes Hungerford Kailua, Hawaii Searching for HUNGERFORD > In southern VT records are much earlier than northern VT.
