    3. Is there anyone on this list that could assist me, please, with lookups in St Albans? It might require visiting St. Mary's catholic church in person as they do have old records in the time frame I am seeking. Looking for the death record of Mrs. John (Jean) Dumas about 1852/53. Her first name may be Rosanna or Theotiste. Also, Mr. John Dumas immediately remarried - to a Miss Mary Almira Buseau about 1853. Want to learn not only the dates of these events but who the parents of the two women were. Thanks for any help. Please do not suggest I contact the church - that has been done. They do not have staff to do research but would make the records available to an "in -person" researcher. Jackie

    3. Hi Jackie, I have the marriage repertoires for St. Mary's and Holy Angels in St. Albans and their is no listing for a John or Jean Dumas, or any Buseau at all. The only Dumas marriage recorded is as follows: Joseph DUMAS (parents omitted) Louise FAVREAU (parents omitted) St. Mary's; January 7, 1863 St. Mary's seldom recorded the parents, Holy Angels, the French church, almost always did.
