He married Margaret Ade (b. Scotland, ca. 1797)and had two daughters (Augusta Elizabeth (Betsey), b. 1822 and Agnes Anne, b. 1825) in Nottingham, England, and a son (Alfred, b. 1828) in Wiltshire, England. They left England for Canada where a fourth child was born (Margaret Marie, b. ca. 1830). I do not know where they entered Canada. From Canada they moved to Burlington, VT where they had two more daughters (Amelia, b. ca. 1832-1834 and Caroline M., b. ca. 1834-1836). At some point, William is out of the picture, and Margaret is with William Smith in Harrietstown, NY with Marie (Margaret Marie), Amelia, and Caroline M. Caroline M. Henley married John Wilson (father was John Wilson, b. VT.), who was born in Vermont, possibly in Franklin County (Highgate) ca. 1822. I am looking for anyone who can give me direction as to how to or where to find records of these events. If you have any kn! owledge of these families, I would appreciate hearing from you. Incidentally, the Henley girls all married in New England and moved to, lived and died in Wisconsin. I am Caroline M. Henley's great granddaughter. Thanks for any assistance.
