Wanda, this is maybe a long shot, but I notice in this email of yours, you mention the name Platt. My ggg grandfather was Philo Platt. I have not been able to go back any further than him, and know very little about him. He was born about 1813 in NY; lived in Dresden Station just down from Ft Ann according to the 1840 census; and it is indicated in the 1880 census that his father was born in VT. Philo married someone named Polly, and they had 3 children known to me, Otis, Mira, and Steven. Is there any link to your Platt?
