Hi Harriet, The book is on line---available through "Heritage Quest On Line", which is offered by many libraries. I can access books and census images from home through one of our area libraries. The Hefflons are referenced on page 261. There isn't a whole lot on them, but one of their ladies, Mary Carolyn Hefflon, married into the Rixford family, the book author's surname. Mary Carolyn Hefflon was a daughter of Willard Chandler Hefflon/Lenora May Sunderland. Willard was son of Frank Hefflon/Mary Caroline Stimets. Frank was son of Sessions L. Hefflon, b. 1798, and Lucy Fillmore. Sessions was son of William Hefflon, who is buried in the cemetery on the old farm in Highgate. (Willard Hefflon was mayor of St. Albans in 1930.) I did not see Silas mentioned. Where did he live? Rhode Island or Vermont or? Let me know if I can help. My husband's family is from Swanton and Bakersfield, VT, and I'm beginning research in those areas.
