While looking through an old book (pub.1874) that belonged to Byron Woodward (1845-1918), my great-grandfather's uncle, I found a flyer on which was printed the following: "SOCIAL & SUPPER at Jas. Woodard's, Samsonville, Wednesday Ev'ng., Sept 10, For the benefit of the East Berkshire Band Plenty to eat and lots of music cheap." There was no year listed but I know of a James Woodward (1834-1913) who was married to Sarah Ovitt and lived in that area. Does anyone have access to information about members of the East Berkshire Band? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Susan Woodward Spain
