The Abigail and Parent you refer to were my g-g-g grandparents. Actually, "Parent's" name was Permort. It was mis-transcribed. Abigail's maiden name was Joy. All of the fore-going is from old family records. Permort was born in Scotland abt. 1770, immigrated 1st to Canada abt 1790, then to Vermont sometime in the 1790's. Abigail was also born in Scotland but I don't know anything else about her. They had 6 children, but I know the names of only 3: Robert, Richard and Amasa. Amasa was my g-g-grandfather. Permort died abt. 1808. That is why the head of fam. is Abigail in 1810. I would like any info you have that I don't! [email protected]
