The only book that I know of is one that shows burials in Fairfield prior to 1851. I was in Franklin County the beginning of this month; and after a day tramping through old cemeteries in Sheldon, Fairfield, and Enosburg Falls, I did locate quite a few of the headstones that I was looking for. I still have many to find and hope to be able to return there next year.

    3. Thank you for responding to my inquiry. Charles Phelps Noble, son of Sylvester and Sarah Chaplin Noble married Celia Emma Lawrence, born 1853, in St. George, Vermont. She is the daughter of Henry Lawrence, born 1826, and Cornelia Wells Lawrence, born 1784. Charles was a "traveling salesman," and probably met Emma in St. George. Her first husband was Stanford Weston, who owned a grocery store in Burlington, Vermont, before he died. We have much info on this Lawrence family. If it is yours, write to us directly at: <[email protected]>. I'm researching a Ezra Williams who was in Georgia, Franklin Co. in 1840. I believe he had a Brother Truman Williams who stayed in VT. Also a Brother Charles Williams who was born in 1813 in VT & was in Georgia, Franklin Co. in 1860. There may have been a Brother Stephen too who moved to N.Y. I think their Father may have been a Charles Williams who was in Windham Co. in 1800 & then 1810 too. He was in Constable, Franklin Co. N.Y. in 1820. The Ezra I'm researching was in Georgia in 1840 but in Franklin Co., N.Y. in 1850 & 1860. Is Franklin Co. VT close to Franklin Co., N.Y. ? THANKS for ANY help. Darlene T. Holling
