    3. Hi Mary, sorry but there is no marriage of a Joseph MINOR/MENARD to a Rosalie ST-GERMAIN in either church. There is a marriage of a Joseph MENARD to an Emma SCOTT in 1892, and another marriage of a Joseph MENARD to an Emelie LANGLOIS in 1867 but that is all. They both appear to be first marriages. Dave Constantine in Boston [email protected] ----- Original Message ----- From: Mary King Dave, Is there a marriage record for a Joseph Minor/Menard and Rosalie St. Germaine in the Holy Angels/St Mary's? Thanks in advance for any time spent, Mary

    3. Hi Jackie, I have the marriage repertoires for St. Mary's and Holy Angels in St. Albans and their is no listing for a John or Jean Dumas, or any Buseau at all. The only Dumas marriage recorded is as follows: Joseph DUMAS (parents omitted) Louise FAVREAU (parents omitted) St. Mary's; January 7, 1863 St. Mary's seldom recorded the parents, Holy Angels, the French church, almost always did. Dave Constantine in Boston [email protected] ----- Original Message ----- From: Jackie Presley Is there anyone on this list that could assist me, please, with lookups in St Albans? It might require visiting St. Mary's catholic church in person as they do have old records in the time frame I am seeking. Looking for the death record of Mrs. John (Jean) Dumas about 1852/53. Her first name may be Rosanna or Theotiste. Also, Mr. John Dumas immediately remarried - to a Miss Mary Almira Buseau about 1853. Want to learn not only the dates of these events but who the parents of the two women were. Thanks for any help. Please do not suggest I contact the church - that has been done. They do not have staff to do research but would make the records available to an "in -person" researcher. Jackie

    3. Hi Marge, I have researched the West Berkshire cemetery for my Ellsworth and Searle ancestors but have done so with visits. Other than having a friend in the area visit for me I have not found a web site posting or any other source of information for these cemeteries. I have also found the girls at the Berkshire Town hall very helpful in doing the occasional lookup. If you are looking for any of mine I would be happy to provide data and or photographs. Good luck. I have checked several New salem resources, including the publication New Salem Vital Records to 1849. There is no mention of her in the records there. The problem with Sarah Bond Cauley is that the dates for her in all the family genealogy, which is vast by the way, has given her the birth and death dates of her husband's other wife. The local archivists are having trouble helping me. They believe that she is only mother to one of the ten children, while Rebecca Grandy Sanford is mother to the rest, contarary to what the family genealogies say. In the end we will prevail, but for now we just have to find a modicum of proof that she actually was born in New Salem and that she did indeed die in Lawrence, St. Lawrence New York. I am currently checking cemetery sites for the St. Lawrence County area. I planned to go to New salem, but have not done that yet. Thank you for the advice, I appreciate your thoughtfulness.
