** Please do not respond to this message in any way that sends your reply to the list. ** Everyone: Members are reminded that although I am very tolerant of messages that are *slightly* off-topic, and/or personal, there are rules and they are enforced. Messages to the list must have *some* connection *SPECIFICALLY* with Franklin County, Vermont. "Genealogists might be interested" does not in any way qualify. If that standard were used, we would get messages about cheap gasoline -- after all, genealogists are interested in the cost of their visits to county courthouses and overgrown cemeteries.... If it is genealogical and if it is about Franklin County, Vermont, specifically, you don't have to ask me. Post the message. For example, if your historical society has published a booklet about county resources, that is fine. Just leave any financial arrangements for off-list discussion. If it is not genealogical, and has nothing to do with Franklin Co. specifically, don't bother to ask -- the answer is no. Thank you for your support. Darrell list admin

Hi Everyone, I'm new to the board but had something I thought was exciting to pass along to you. I found a way to get those out of print books. The web address for the Espresso Book Machine is www.ondemandbooks.com. The cost was minimal - the books were shipped to me gratis. I ordered three bound books from the University Book Store in Seattle, Wa. The Prindle Genealogy: Embracing the Descendants of William Pringle the First Settler.....etc by Franklin Cogswell Prindle. Genealogy of the Stone Family Originating in Rhode Island by Richard Cicil Stone History of the Town of Whately, Mass:..........etc by James Monroe Crafts I have been dabbling for quite a while in this world of ancestors - collecting up reams of paper with no idea how to organize it. Every time I start to arrange my binders, I end up spinning my wheels. Thank you all for providing all this information. Anne

Blanche married Asher Cohick in 1952, after her marriage to Donald Ruesch. Asher died in 1954 in Madison, Connecticut. Blanche then remarried to Mike Zemba before 1960, when they are recorded as owning the Crescent Motel in Madison, Connecticut. Blanche was born in Danville, Vermont in 1920 and died in Lyndon, Vermont in 1999. Any help with this marriage would be greatly appreciated. Cohick. The story is that James was married to Anna Kelly, Anna died, James remarried to Blanche and then he died. Since Blanche remarried to Donald Ruesch in 1946, the marriage to James would be before that. Anna and James married in 1926ish, according to the 1930 census for Manhattan, and in 1934, Anna was requesting a death certificate for her father John T. Kelly and Anna was living in Southington, Connecticut. That narrow the marriage down for James and Blanche to between 1934 and 1946. Would really appreciate any help to solve this puzzle.
