I also have marriages of some of the children as well as d., and their children. Does anyone have any information on Amyntus' parents or siblings? I have found a possible Josias Briggs in NH 1790 census. I would suspect that Josiah & Eunice d. in Fairfield, and Amyntus moved on after their deaths. There is an FTM tree on the family of Amyntus, but it has LOTS of errors. I have been in touch with the submitter. Glad to share all my info, sources and all! Kathy

    1. [VTFRANKL] CHILSON, BLISS, WESTCOTT, CURTIS
    2. EUGENE CHILSON, born 25 May, 1846 in West Enosburg, VT. Names of parents and siblings are unknown. He said he had one brother and one sister. Looking for any Chilsons mentioned in records/newspapers during this time. Around 1850, Eugene and mother moved to Hydeville, Rutland Cnty, VT and lived with "an own cousin" EPHRAIM BLISS (possibly related to Philip Bliss the hymn writer). At the age of six, Eugene moved into house of JEREMIAH WESTCOTT and was known as Eugene Westcott until he enlisted in Cavalry at age 15 under his own name. His best friend was SAMUEL P. CURTIS. In 1870, Eugene moved to Iowa and married Helen Price Staples then Flora A. Boyd. I "think" Eugene's mom was a Bliss, sister to Ephraim, and she married Westcott, but don't have any facts to support the hypothesis. Any links will be aggressively pursued :) Thanks, Colin Brooks

    1. [VTFRANKL] BISSETT, Frederick William
    2. Joe Bissett
    3. Hi List, My Canadian Grand Uncle Frederick W. BISSETT is in the St Albans census for 1900. He lived on Main Street in a rented house, but I don't know the number. His wife was listed as Lilly, daughter Eltha May and son Frederick. I'm hoping that city directories for St Albans exist from 1885 onward. His marriage to Lilly took place in Vermont (according to the census) 15 years earlier, so I'm hoping to find them in St. Albans after 1885. The stay in Vermont was somewhat transitional. The son was born in Canada in 1897, so this family moved back and forth between 1885 and 1900. I have not yet looked in the 1910 or 1920 census, so I have no idea how long they remained in St Albans after 1900. Hopefully directories will help. By 1925 the family was in Norfolk, VA. I also need to search for Frederick's immigration information. Since they came from Huntingdon, Quebec, if their records exist they would be in St Albans. I'd be interested in knowing the address(es) for reputable researchers in the St Albans area who might help me pull this information together. Regards, Joe

    1. [VTFRANKL] LAPAN/LAPALME/GABORIAULT/LETOURNEAU IN ST ALBANS & GEORGIA
    2. Charlene Gaboriault
    3. Interested in any Lapans from Franklin County. I have many Lapans from St Albans, Highgate and Georgia that I am trying to trace back to Canada. One in particular is Thomas Lapan married to a Julia Letourneau about 1860. It seems there may be two sets of Thomas and Julia's - one living in Georgia and one living in St Albans. Lapans may have originally been Lapalmes or Gaboriault or Gabriau. Letourneau may also be Turner. Charlene Gaboriault
