Hello Everyone I am sending this out to amend the message I sent the other day regarding a temporary addresss. Apparently my mail server is going through some changes and updates so I have taken the precaution in the meantime of gaining a few new addresses in order to make sure I don't miss any mail. I am almost positive you are as sick of hearing about it as I am in dealing with it. Now for one final time: I can permanently be reached at any of the following addresses, the first one being the primary address. So as you all know I do try to answer ASAP so if I don't then you might assume a problem and send to one of the others. If the problem is not an emergency then I will still receive the mail when the servers go back up ( if they are down) it just might be the next day. I don't mean to confuse anyone by any means. I am just making sure that everyone has a way of contacting me if they need to. First Address: debj@comsys.net Second Address: debbiej_2001@yahoo.com Third Address: djennings35@excite.com They are all checked daily so I shouldn't miss anything. I have experienced in the past listowners who never replied or took forever so I don't want to allow for that possibility. And some of you I converse with on a regular basis. Two places to check are:- St. Albans library - a room upstairs from the main floor has cemetery records for Franklin county and many other genealogy related materials. The libary is in a street that runs north from the north east corner of the large park/square in the middle of town. Vermont State Archive in Middlesex - vital records for all Vermont towns, although you may also be able to get these locally through the LDS. Middlesex is about 5 miles north of Montpelier on I-89. As you come off the exit ramp (northbound) take a left under the highway, then right at the parallel road and about 1/2 mile on the right is the records office behind the State Police. Check hours of operation at both places before visiting. The State Archive was Mon to Fri from 08:00 am till 04:00 pm, except holidays, last time I went there. > -----Original Message----- > From: Arleen Morrissey [mailto:arleen.morrissey@worldnet.att.net] > Sent: Saturday, July 29, 2000 5:11 PM > To: VTFRANKL-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: [VTFRANKL] Page, Leach, Churchill, Young > > > Hi, > > I am plannig a trip to Vt. to reseach the above lines. I am seeking the parents of Ira CHURCH, b. 1826, Swanton, VT. In 1849, he married Asenath TYRRELL b. 1826 in NY. Her mother was Susanna possibly DAVIS, b. 1792 in MA. I have no information on the given name of Asenath TYRRELL's father. Susanna's parents could be Abel DAVIS and his wife Sarah, who were born in MA but arrived in VT before 1800. They died in Swanton and are buried in Church St. Cemetery. I have family Bible which records the death of Sarah DAVIS in 1837. Ira and Asenath TYRRELL CHURCH had four children born in VT and the family migrated to IL. about 1859. Thanks for any information. I will be happy to share. Martha
Listmembers: Today I am going to be going through the subscribers lists for all the mailing lists I administer. I have noticed recently that several persons are listed more then once on some of them. This would cause you to receive duplicate mailings. If I find any I will delete both and then resubscribe one of them. I am letting you know this so if you receive a message saying you were unsubscribed, don't be alarmed as there will be one shortly after resubbing you. This shouldn't affect many persons, and should improve the email of those who are subbed numerous times. Debbie Jennings debj@comsys.net "Following the footprints through time"

Thanks for the Roll Call. My tie to Franklin County is Solomon WASHBURN b. 5/14/1819 in the county. He married Mary W. Carter (b. 12/9/1824 in Quebec) on 7/14/1844 in Addison VT. I have often wondered if they eloped since Addison is in the next county south of Franklin. Solomon and Mary moved to Wisconsin in the late 1840's. Solomon parents are the mystery. His father was Samuel Washburn who was b. 1782 in MA. No other info. We think he moved to Day NY with his oldest son Samuel Jr. We now know that Solomon's mother was Diademia Wright who parents might have been Isaac and Jerusha Wright. Solomon's other siblings were: Samuel Jr, Almon Delos, Henry, Delia, and Sophronia. There is also the possibility of Levi and Christiana as additional siblings. There are a whole bunch of us looking for the lineage of Solomon Washburn's parents. Any help would be appreciated. Bill Betts Center Cross, Virginia
