In the meantime I have looked at your line and I do have some info on it in my Irish database. We do have a descrepency on Walter E McMahon's mother, Alice. On both his marriage and death certificate her name is given as Alice Smith but you have her listed as Alice S Thompson. Ironically, when Walter acted as informant on his father's death certificate, William's wife was listed as unknown. Nine years earlier when he (Walter) married her name was given as Alice Smith. What records do you have reflecting Alice Thompson? Wanda Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Where are the headstones that you have attached; are they someplace local? I go around the area when I can to take pictures of headstone and I have been searching for more Ibey's. I have never found Andrew & Amanada, yet. I was born in Campbellford. My mother's family was there. I lived all over the province while I grew up. I now live in Oshawa so it's not that far from Belleville. It's one of the places I have yet to look at cemeteries; I just don't know where they are located. I would love to hear and talk more. Well, we are related that's for sure! A little distant but related! I have written in my family tree that your grandfather, William Earl Thornton Ibey married to Marion May Clapper (as you know). He was the son of Bennett McLeod Ibey born June 16, 1881 and died Feb. 27, 1957. His brother, William Henry Iby is where I descend from. Bennet and William's parents were Andrew and Amanda (Banfield) Iby. Andrew's parents were John and Catherine (Payne) Ibey/Iby. They had a daughter Isabella 1830 (Andrew's sister) who was born in Quebec but later moved to the Frankford/Campbellford area. John Ibey's father was also named John born 1780. As far as I know, there are a lot of Ibey/Iby's from Ireland and Austria. I just don't know where the lineage actually began in our lineage. I know that Catherine Payne was born in the early 1800's in Ireland though. Melissa Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. His daughter, Laura May Iby was my great grandmother. She died when I was 13 years old. My mother also grew up in Campbellford. Do you live in the area? I live in Belleville. I found a John & Isabella in Quebec but that is as much as I have for now. I would love to get them back to wherever the Ibey/Iby line came from. I was always told it was Irish. Hi: I don't think I am related to any of the Nobles, but a Marcia Cordelia (d/o Sylvester Cambell Noble and Nancy Chaplin) married my 3rd cousin 5 removed George Edmund Foss, 21 Feb 1856, in Franklin, Vermont. Dot
Yes, I went to findagrave.com and was able to link one of the Farrand's to my list. I am sure the others are connected, will just have to find out how. Thank you. Dot
I quickly ran through the three names in the Franklin County section of www.findagrave.com with no luck. Sorry! Thank you, I had forgotten about that web site. Dot
Dot, do you have other family names connected to Berkshire? My husband Ted Noble's families are from there and we are always looking for others who may be related.
