Jonathan Lamb of this town to Caroline Sherman dau Elijah Sherman, Esq. --------------- In Charlotte, by Rev. C. Yale, Benj. Fairchild, M.D. in M.D. of Milton to Miss Sarah A. Sischo. ------------- DIED In Essex on 30th ult, Mabel, wife of Mr. Otis Kelogg, age 49 years at Bellows Falls, Joseph Lowel, Printer, aged 18. - ---------------------------- October 15, 1830 Friday DIED In this town, Tues. last, Francis Child, Esq., aged 67. ---------------- In Essex on 11th ult, Dr. Harmon How aged 37 years. ------------------ In Essex 2d inst., Mr. Minor Griffin aged 25. ------------------ In Milton, Mass Mr. Josiah Speer, ed. Boston Commentator. ------------------------- STATE OF VERMONT Chitt., Co Petitioner Emily Bates of Colchester iin the co of Chitt, that on the 31 Oct 1822 at said Colchester, she was lawfully married to John Bates, then of Westford in sd co, now gone to parts unknown, by Phineas Culver, a minister of the gospel and that from that time to the first day of Jan 1830, she lived with him in the strict observance of all the duties required by the marriage contract--that John on or about the first day of January 1830 at Milford, Otsego Co, NY did commit the crime of adultery, etc, etc and has treated her with intolerable severity. Wants the bands of matrimony dissolved and bill of divorce granted. that she may be restored in all things, she was in this state a full yr before asking for divorce, etc. . . . . . It made to appear that said John Bates resices outside the state and cannot be served petition. . . . . .to be published three consec. weeks, given under my hand at Burlington this 27th day of Sept A.D. 1830. William P. Briggs, Judge,--an instrument purporting to be the last will and testament of JOHN STEVENS, late of Underhill, deceased, and being presented by Russell Brownall, the executor therin. Ordered that all persons concerned therein be notified to appear at a session of said court to be holden at Charles M. Huntington's dwelling house in Richmond, on the 6th Nov 1830 at 10 o'click a.m. and show cause. etc, etc, . . . . A true copy of record. Attes. L.
