All previous records are held in the Diocese in Burlington. He states the Diocese for the whole area was not started until 1858. Prior to that any records were administered out of Boston or Montreal, Canada. The diocese for Vermont is in Burlington 802-658=6110 ask for the archieves. The town clerk's office is open from 8-4 every weekday. No need for an appointment. Just drop in.
