Maj. Ezra Smith, in the 82d year of his age. - ------------------------------------ Death by Charcoal--A man by the name of Ockford, and his wife, were found dead in their bed, on the morning of the 1st ins in the town of Northfield. Their death was occasioned by carrying charcoal on fire into their sleeping room for the purpose of warming it. This is the third death occasioned by this pernicious habit since the present cold weather commenced.
