    3. Trying to find proof the Guy Caswell's mother is actually Cynthia Brewster. He is listed in the Mayflower books, but no dates or who he married so not positive this is him. There is the same reference to the him in the Brewster Genealogy. Guy was born May 14, 1804 in Huntington, Chittenden, VT, year possibly may be wrong. According to the info I received there is suppose to be a birth record of him but upon writing to Vermont they said they found nothing. According to Bertha Brown Hanson he was enumerated on the 1830 Census of Huntington as head of household. Mrs Hanson's file folder on the Caswell's contains 5 legal notepad pages of the Caswell vital records she had copied at the VT State Record Office. In these, she penciled in the margin an identification of Guy at the time of his marriage to Almira Ring as being a son of Daniel. Whether this was stated in the VR needs checking. Mrs. Hanson obviously obtained additional material from a published Brewster Genealogy and at points noted errors & corrections. She compiled a family group sheet with Guy as the 7th child of Charles Caswell with a note that the name Charles was Daniel from all other records. She had obviously compiled these group sheets from the Brewster Genealogy & wanted to make certain that it was erroneous to identify Cynthia's husband as Charles Caswell. The confusion possibly was a copying error of the Brewster genealogist, or their informant, who was thinking of the name Charles because Charles Brewster was Cynthia's father. On Mrs. Hanson's group sheet of Daniel & Cynthia Brewster Caswell, the only thing written about Guy is in the marriage column where reference is made to Huntington Vital Records at Montpelier with the date Jan 21, 1830 to Alimera Ring. Any help would be greatly appreciated and will share what I have Thanks LuShelle@ibm.net
